An internationally renowned educational institution is just across the street, ensuring you can satisfy your curiosity and pursue your intellectual passions long into your retirement.

Our well-educated, well-traveled residents are eager to engage in deep conversations, an easy game of cards or adventures around downtown Palo Alto.

We recently completed a multimillion-dollar upgrade — including a brand-new bar and redesigned great room and restaurants — that makes life beyond our residents’ apartments even more exciting.

Our campus boasts a beautiful garden with more than 15 rose varieties, plus plenty of trails to stroll, just steps beyond your front door. You can also join early-riser residents for longer morning hikes nearby at “The Dish.”

Aging well looks different to every Vi resident. That’s why we created Living Well, a holistic approach to wellness in our communities that encompasses mind, body and spirit. Here are just a few ways residents embrace a wellness philosophy:
- Exploring functional fitness with our personal trainer
- Joining like-minded neighbors in activities like painting or hula
- Taking in a performance at the San Francisco Symphony
With nearly 300 programs per month, residents are sure to find activities that help them live each day to the fullest.
Our surrounding community is in a class of its own
Vi at Palo Alto residents continue to take advantage of their favorite hangouts and must-haves after moving to the community: convenient coffee shops, delicious restaurants and the stores of the upscale Stanford Shopping Center are steps beyond the gates of the community.
And, of course, intellectual programming, lectures and performing arts at a world-class academic institution are just a quick stroll away.
Plus, Vi at Palo Alto provides free scheduled transportation within a 15-mile radius for everyday errands, religious observances and doctor’s appointments, including the nearby Stanford and VA healthcare systems.
We also plan longer journeys for residents to enjoy day trips and evening outings to the San Francisco Symphony and Opera, wine trail excursions in Napa Valley and other Bay Area attractions.
And that’s just a taste of the many ways Vi at Palo Alto residents take advantage of everything our vibrant metro area has to offer. Whether you’re walking, driving or using Vi’s free scheduled transportation, the world beyond our community is always within reach!
