We’ve invested more than $6 million reimagining our bar and lounge areas, restaurants, fitness center and more — with our residents’ active, social lives in mind.

The community boasts a striking English garden, and miles of safe, smooth walking paths are just beyond our campus, ready to be explored.

Low-maintenance living means less time on home upkeep and more time experiencing retirement, exploring your interests and doing what you love.

We’re centrally located, so North Shore natives don’t have to choose between luxury living and the relationships they built through the years.

Every spacious apartment comes with high ceilings and beautiful outdoor spaces, and there’s also room for customization as you plan your dream retirement nest.

Social connectivity is the lifeblood of our community. In fact, we love to say our residents are Vi at The Glen’s best amenity!

Aging well looks different to every Vi resident. That’s why we created Living Well, a holistic approach to wellness in our communities that encompasses mind, body and spirit. Here are just a few ways residents embrace a wellness philosophy:
- Exploring functional fitness with our personal trainer
- Joining like-minded neighbors in activities like pickleball or improv
- Taking in the beauty of nature at the Chicago Botanic Garden
With nearly 300 programs per month, residents are sure to find activities that help them live each day to the fullest.
Vi at The Glen residents continue to enjoy their favorite hangouts and must-haves after moving to the community: delicious restaurants, parks and walking paths, and the shops of The Glen Town Center are steps from the community.
Vi at The Glen also provides free scheduled transportation within a 15-mile radius for everyday errands, religious observances and doctor’s appointments, including nearby NorthShore University HealthSystem providers, Advocate Lutheran General Hospital and more.
Residents regularly take in concerts at the Northbrook Symphony Orchestra, Lyric Opera, Chicago Symphony and Ravinia, as well as performances at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts, Drury Lane Theatre and Marriott Theater in Lincolnshire.
Day trips to the Chicago Botanic Garden? Check. Bocce ball at Pinstripes? Check. Shopping trips to Old Orchard and Northbrook Court? Double check.
Many residents even use our transportation for volunteer opportunities at local hospitals, Kohl Children's Museum, Northfield Township Pantry and the Glenview Library.
And that’s just a taste of the many ways Vi at The Glen residents take advantage of everything the North Shore and Chicagoland have to offer. Whether you’re walking, driving or using Vi’s free scheduled transportation, the world beyond our community is always within reach!
