Moving to The Vi helps resident realize a lifelong dream
Resident Susan Shovers has shared her love of baking with friends and family for years, but it wasn’t until she moved to The Vi that she discovered a way to share this passion with a wider audience.
“I never thought I would have a show at this point in my life,” she said. “It’s how I’ve made it through the pandemic. To be able to do this, to give people something to enjoy. It’s been such a great joy.”

Vi at Aventura was recently recognized in the 30th Annual National Mature Media Awards Program. The program recognizes the nation’s finest marketing, communications, educational materials, and programs designed and produced for older adults.
Vi at Aventura’s original YouTube cooking series “Cooking with Bubbe” with resident host Susan Shovers, received a Gold Award for Consumer Campaign/Special Event.
